Gastronomicom French Culinary Academy Scholarships for aspiring students for 2017-2018.

 

Gastronomicom French Culinary Academy is offering 2 Types of Scholarship Opportunities to be used towards 4 different French Culinary Training Programs. The purpose is to help advance the skills of those dedicated to continuously working towards reaching a higher level of expertise and represent the industry in the best possible light.

Programs at Gastronomicom Eligible for Scholarships


1 Month “Gourmet” Culinary Training on Miami Campus

2 Month “Epicure” Culinary Training on Miami Campus


3 Month “Gastronomic” Culinary Training on Miami Campus

1 Year Internship Program
3 Months Culinary Training on Miami Campus

  • 3 Month Culinary Training on Agde, France Campus
  • 6 Months Working in a Michelin Star Restaurant that will provide Free Room & Board and a Monthly Stipend of approximately 540 Euros

2 Types of Scholarships

  • Full Scholarship for 1 Month ($3900 Value)
    May be applied as a full scholarship towards 1 Month Culinary Training Program
  • The $3900 may be applied towards the 2 month Culinary Training program with the student paying for only 1 month ($3300 plus $250 Registration Fee)

  • The $3900 may be applied towards the 3 month Culinary Training program with the student paying for only 2 months ($5700 plus $250 Registration Fee) 
  • Partial Scholarship for 1 Year Internship Program 40% Discount ($7560 Value)
    • Total Cost of the Culinary Training Program with 40% Discount is $11,340 plus $250 Registration Fee
      • note: it is not necessary to be fluent in French.
      • Each Student will be paid a total stipend of approximately 3200 Euros while working in a restaurant in France.
  • Other Fees Not Included:
  • Miami: Housing, Food, Transportation, Supplies ($60/mo.)
  • France: Housing & Food while in Training, Transportation, Student Visa, International Medical Insurance, Supplies ($60/mo.)

Eligibility:

  • Must be 18 Years or Over
  • Must be Fluent in English
  • Must be a Current Culinary School Student, Recent Culinary School Graduate or a Professional looking for Professional Development

Required Documents:

  • Resume
  • 3 Letters of Reference Either from a Culinary Instructor, Work Superiors or Clients
  • Essay Explaining Why You Want to Learn/Improve Your French Cooking Skills and What You Will Do With Them Once Achieved (motivation letter)

Deadlines

For James Beard Foundation and WCR, dates will be posted by April 1.
For all other scholarships, there is no active deadline but it is recommended that all paperwork be submitted as soon as possible for 2017 as they operate on a first come, first serve basis.

Scholarships in Miami

One Month Gourmet Program

March 27th to April 21st, 2017
June 19th to July 14th, 2017
August 14th to September 8th, 2017
September 11th to October 6th, 2017

Epicure 2 month Program:

March 27th to May 19th, 2017 (beginner)
April 24th to June 16th, 2017 (intermediate)
September 11th November 3rd, 2017 (beginner)
October 9th to December 1st, 2017 (intermediate)

Gastronomic 3 Month Program

March 27th to June 16th, 2017
September 11th to December 1st, 2017
January 2nd to March 23rd, 2018

One Year Partial Scholarship

March 27th, 2017 to June 16th, 2018 ( with a break in summer and restart in France the third week of September)
September 11th, 2017 to September 10th 2018.
January 2nd 2018 to January 1st 2019
